Helping a Friend Build a Stage Online

My friend, Casino Perosi, is a well-loved Denver musician with a natural knack for strumming layered Latin tunes on his guitar. He’s already built a strong presence, regularly performing at Sofar Sounds shows and consistently drawing in local crowds with his rhythm and style.

But as his reputation grows, so does his ambition. Casino was ready to expand his footprint, connecting with new promoters and event coordinators outside his current circle. His goal is to move from foot in the door to feet on stage—with less friction along the way.

The challenge?
It’s hard to explain the energy of a live performance with just an audio file or a quick clip. To really showcase what Casino brings to a stage, we needed something more complete—something that let promoters see and feel the experience.

The Idea: A Digital Concert

We decided to create a digital concert, a full at-home performance that could serve as a calling card. The goal was simple:

  • Give promoters a clear sense of his stage presence.

  • Capture his musical energy in an authentic way.

  • Build credibility with a polished, intentional piece of content.

Rather than overcomplicate it, we kept the stage direction simple and intimate:

  • A stripped-down set that felt personal but professional.

  • Lighting and framing that highlighted Casino without distraction.

  • Camera movement and editing choices that added rhythm without taking over the show.

The focus was always on Casino and his music.

Execution

We planned the concert like a live event:

  1. Run of Show: Outlined song order and transitions to keep momentum flowing.

  2. Stage Design: Created a clean, minimal backdrop with subtle visual details.

  3. Filming: Captured multiple angles to give depth and texture to the final edit.

  4. Post-Production: Balanced sound, added smooth cuts, and shaped a viewing experience that felt immersive.

The Result

The finished piece gave Casino a digital stage he could share with anyone—from potential promoters to curious fans.

It wasn’t about creating a viral video. It was about building a tool he could use to open doors:

  • Promoters can now see his performance style before booking him.

  • Event coordinators can visualize how his energy fits into their space.

  • Fans can experience an intimate concert from anywhere.

Reflection

This project reminded me how powerful simple, intentional storytelling can be.

We didn’t need elaborate sets or heavy production to create something meaningful. By focusing on what mattered most—the music, the vibe, and the connection—we gave Casino a way to share his artistry at scale, one performance at a time.
